That’s the me of yesteryear; before I lost my sight.

Who was I then? Hmmm… I had a spiffy haircut. I had loads of friends. I loved playing, running, hiding and seeking. I loved kissing my mom and dad good night. I hated feety pjs – too binding and hence my abhorrence to this day of wearing button shirts and ties. Yuck! I had no prejudices – except for a general dislike of peas and a predilection towards the color blue.

It was my wont to wander. I would find something that caught my eye and I would drop everything to explore. Still do. I did a lot of exploring and unlearning in my travel articles in Australia entitled The Buddha’s Striptease. That was the beginning when I realized life was not in the amassing of knowledge, in wealth or in various personas. Life was not in the addition but in the subtraction. I am living each new day less than I was before.

I am still on my personal Striptease. Follow along and sing if you know the words.

My goal is to be that tyke of yesteryear and see once again.

The Note

Dear John Readers,

It is not you, it is me.

Really, you're great. But I feel the need to find out what else the world has to offer me. …..Wait. You were great. You gave me a lot. Swear. I needed your sweet, sweet affirmations at one time but now I believe I am stronger and can carry on my own. If we were to carry on, we would just stagnate and that is not good for either of us. We both need to grow and now is the time for us to move on. We've tried reconciliation last year but I believe that was just a band-aid on a wound that probably was something much more serious.

I wish you the best. Let's walk away while we are both whole and let's remain friends. You'll find someone new in no time.

I will always love you (ok, Whitney, take us home),

Not sure why you can't have both, but....I suppose I understand. (Not really, but I'll take the high road)

I wish you the best, and I hope you find all that life has to offer.

Nameste, my friend.

Jer and Giggs... The Blind Buddha has come to its end. In fact he was at his end last year. He's not sighted - in fact he's ok with his blindness.
I might be back but not in this carnation - look for a talking dog and a decaying piece of moss that can type.

Thats strange. I posted a comment here earlier - but now its gone.

Okay - to recap with extras - YOU CANT DO THIS! NO! I WONT NOT HEERED OF IT!

Listen to me! I'm da Daveman, gosh darn it! (forgive the harsh illicit language). Sure I haven't been a devoted regular, but enjoyed dropping in unannounced from time to time.

You're an institution, a mainstay, somewhere to go when there is no place else to go.

If you leave I will hunt you down like a duck and force you to look at a picture of my ex-wife Cujo! and if that doesn't cause you pain, then I have a back up plan...,

A PICTURE OF MY MOTHER IN LAW IN HER UNDERWEAR! Which explains my poor eyesight when I accidentally walked in the bathroom while she was in there. GAWD! I STILL HAVE NIGHTMARES!!!

DON'T MAKE ME MAKE YOU SUFFER TOO! Stay - stay put. Give yourself some thinking time. Don't make me use these pictures man. I really would hate to put any human being in that position, especially you.

hi buddha,

i really miss u and will drop by ocassionally hoping to see u write again.
this may sound cliche, but u are my motivation sometimes. though i don't really know who u are at the far end of the globe.
i understand your need to be away, and i respect that.
i hope u are happy with where and what u are right now.
do drop me a mail if u need a friend from afar. the distance help sometimes, so close and yet so far. buddha-liked philosophy?

Bye Bye Buddha.

I've missed you. I'll still drop by, from time to time, to see if you've re-emerged, but I've taken my blog down. I'm about to take my other blog down (the one on yahoo) too.

Life is going well for me...and I hope the same is true for you.

You were more of a friend (in a strange kind of way) than you'll probably ever know, and I still think of you often.

Email me, just to say hello, now and again. Gigglesbee@cfl.rr.com.

Namaste, my friend!
